- Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame were shot back-to-back using ARRI Alexa IMAX 2D cameras, marking the first time a Hollywood feature film was shot entirely with IMAX digital cameras.
- The Russos drew inspiration from 1990s heist films when developing Infinity War, with Thanos portrayed as being on a 'smash-and-grab' mission to collect all the Infinity Stones.
- Filming took place under the working title Mary Lou and began on January 23, 2017, at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Georgia.
