- The Mr. Bean theme tune was composed by Howard Goodall and adapted from a passage of Anton Bruckner's "Locus iste", with Latin lyrics that translate to phrases like "Behold the man who is a bean".
- The first episode of Mr. Bean used an upbeat instrumental theme instead of the choral version, which was later heard whenever Bean's blue Reliant car nemesis appeared in subsequent episodes.
- A 1992 Comic Relief single credited to "Mr. Bean and Smear Campaign featuring Bruce Dickinson" reached number 9 on the UK singles chart, covering Alice Cooper's "Elected".
- The Boyzone single "Picture of You" served as the theme song for the first Mr. Bean film adaptation and also featured Mr. Bean in its music video.
