Trivia & production notes
- Steven Knight created and wrote Peaky Blinders, with Screen Yorkshire funding the production through the Yorkshire Content Fund to ensure most filming took place in Yorkshire.
- The show did not employ linguistic consultants, resulting in Romani Gypsies in early series speaking broken Romanian rather than actual Romani language.
- Sam Neill worked with Northern Irish actors James Nesbitt and Liam Neeson to help recover his lost Northern Irish accent for the role of C.I. Campbell, though he ultimately toned it down for the American market.
- Series three took 78 days to shoot, completing on 22 January 2016.
